Each of the following downloads should only be utilized by those who do collection management/editing.

Insight® Studio Wizard-based Administrative Client

Provides support for drag-and-drop media processing, bulk-import of common delimited text files, simple user and resource management, as well as integrated context-sensitive help. Insight Studio can also be used to create cataloging templates - Insight's representation of your data schema - which can be used, reused, and customized for each collection.

Installation & Logon Instructions

Win95/98/2000/NT/XP

  1. At the file download prompt, choose "save this program to disk"
  2. Once the download is complete, go to the folder on your computer in which you downloaded the program and open the document "installStudio.exe"
  3. Follow the wizard to set up access
  4. After the installation, right click the link above for InsightStudio.dat and click "Save Link As...". Open the folder "C:\Program Files\LunaImaging\5.1\", and click to save. When you are prompted if you want to replace the InsightStudio.dat on your computer with the one downloaded, click "Yes".

When you are done, Insight Studio will be available under your Start/Program Files/Luna Imaging menu and as an icon from your desktop.

Inscribe Collection Cataloging Tool

A new addition to the Insight software suite, Inscribe. allows users to catalog descriptive metadata about the images, audio, and video files in Insight. Inscribe. works over the Internet to support distributed cataloging environments, with workflow support and extensive levels of cataloger privileges. Inscribe's customizable data entry forms can support a wide range of cataloging requirements and metadata schemas, and provides productivity tools like optional support for local and published vocabularies (AAT, TGN). Inscribe. offers superior media display tools for cataloging directly from the digital image, and for linking images with data records.

When you are done, Inscribe will be available under your Start/Program Files/Luna Imaging menu and as an icon from your desktop.

Insight® Java Client

A special client is available that offers additional functions including cross collection searching, the ability to create presentations, and the option to download to HTML or PowerPoint.

Insight® Java Client software is a Java-based application that runs over the Internet. In order to view image collections using the Insight® Java Client, you must first download the software to a PC or Mac computer that meets the minimum machine requirements. Download time will range from approximately 2-3 minutes on a high speed line to 50 minutes on 56K modem.

Installation & Logon Instructions

The client is automatically installed through a Java installer. After accepting the Conditions of Use, the installer will start. You may be asked to verify that you want to run the software, and you must click Yes. It will first install the Java Runtime Environment, then will continue to install Insight. If you have a firewall, such as Windows Firewall, you must select to unblock the javaw program.
